Here we compared the new offering from Native Instruments, Guitar Rig 6, with its previous version, Guitar Rig 5. For this post, I’m doing metal tones, specifically the peavey 5150 amp model called Van 51. Both with the provided internal “matching cabinets,” the guitar is a custom Circuit Rider Effects Jazzmaster with hand-wound 59 style humbuckers. The entire demonstration is on the bridge pickup. If there are any other amps or effects you would like demonstrated or compared to the previous version, drop a comment below and I will try to make it happen.
When I heard that guitar Rig 6 had been released I had this Doom project half done in my DAW, the project went kind of stale, but I figured it would make for a good 5150 amp simulation video. I basically took the same amp settings I had previously done in GR5, and loaded it up in GR6. The results speak for themselves. Great work NI!
